I spent Sunday drooling over some of the most beautiful bicycles ever made. The 2012 NAHBS was in Sacramento so I rode the Triumph over to have a look see for myself. Being the terrible blogger that I am, combined with the overwhelming volume of nifty things to look at I managed to forget who made just about everything in the pictures that I took. No matter, take a look, these were my favorites. To see the rest of my pics go here --->> http://photobucket.com/NAHBS2012
Really amazing integrated bar/quill stem with a cool light attachment.
The bike I most wanted to take home. Ahearne made this dirt monster touring bike with every bell and whistle you can think of.
Ellis Cycles winner of best steel construction, a classy randonneur with couplers and DI2, hidden cable routing with electrical disconnects for easy packing. So nice.
Shamrock Cycles winner for best city bike. Belt drive Alfine 8sp with lots of detail work. Check the shamrock bottle reinforcements and the thumb screws for the custom rack. Even a custom chain guard with leather washers.
Vendetta Cycles track bar/stem combo from a rad track bike. Really cool pinstriping.
Really classy rear end from a Signal Cycles city bike. Seems like everybody had a green bike ripoff. Its nice to see the best in the world doing it my way.
This bike is from the man that built my newest bike, Rick Hunter makes a nice machine. Dirt touring bike complete with a Hunter style coupling system (just like my bike).
Shifter by Cykelmageren, these guys make every part for their bicycles, every single part. Its crazy. Check out their hub below...
Best in show winner from Cherubium. Pretty much speaks for itself. Unbelievable.
